Frequently asked Questions
How many people can ride on a hayride wagon?
Each wagon accommodates up to 30 adults or 35 children, making it ideal for group outings.
What if the weather is uncertain?
If weather conditions look unfavorable, please notify us early if you need to reschedule or cancel. Highland Orchards may also reschedule hayrides in the event of heavy rain or lightning for safety.
Where should we park, and are restrooms available?
Parking is located by the market, where restrooms are also available. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early for check-in, as wagons cannot wait for late arrivals. Note: there are no restrooms along the hayride route.
What should we bring for the hayride?
Feel free to bring snacks like apple cider, donuts, cups, napkins, and a trash bag for easy cleanup. Roasting sticks, hot dogs, marshmallows, blankets, a flashlight, and a guitar can make the campfire event even more enjoyable. We also suggest comfortable clothing, sturdy shoes, and sunscreen for daytime tours.
Are there age restrictions or special rules for hayrides?
The group leader should review hayride rules with participants. Wagons cannot depart if overloaded, and rowdy or unsafe behavior is not permitted. While there’s no age limit, children under 3 should sit with an adult, and please note that hayrides may be bumpy.
